Search by keyword or partial MPN when automatic matching falls short.
Accessing Manual Search
When automatic matching fails to find a usable part, or when you want to search by keyword rather than MPN, use the Manual Search page.
Access it from the Alternatives page by clicking 🔍 Manual search.
How to Search
- Enter a search query — keyword, partial MPN, or description text.
- BOMExplorer searches all configured providers and returns matching Part Results.
- Click Select on any result to assign it to the BOM line.
Assign to Similar
If multiple BOM lines have the same value and footprint, the Assign to similar option lets you apply the manually selected part to all of them in one action.
