Locking & DNP
Lock finalised BOM lines and mark intentional unpopulated parts.
Locking BOM Lines
Locking prevents a line from being edited, re-matched, or having its part swapped. It is the safeguard for BOM lines that have been reviewed and finalised.
Per line
Click the padlock icon on a row in the BOM table, or click the 🔒/🔓 button on the Alternatives page.
Auto-lock
Enable Auto-lock parts when selected in Preferences. Any line where you select or swap a part is automatically locked afterward.
Locked lines display a 🔒 badge. To make changes to a locked line, unlock it first.
DNP — Do Not Populate
Mark a line as DNP to indicate it is intentionally unpopulated in the assembled board. DNP lines are excluded from AI Assist processing and skipped during matching.
